We’re Steven and Angie, the creators of Explicit Nature; a new and unique way of looking at both accountability and relationships!

Before forming Explicit Nature, the two of us spent nearly five years teaching domestic abuse offenders daily the principles of equality and fairness and how to achieve healthy, non-abusive relationships. In doing so, we literally spent thousands of hours discerning, discussing, and analyzing the manipulative and controlling tactics such individuals used and the devastating impact it had on their partner, relationship, and family. Much to our surprise, what we learned was not at all what we expected. After years of working with highly abusive and manipulative people, we came to discover that there are countless reasons why relationships succeed, but only one reason why they fail; a lack of accountability.

..But not just any accountability. A kind of accountability that most people have never even heard of.

You see, in order to have a truly healthy relationship, both partners must have- not conventional accountability (the kind of accountability most are familiar with and are accustomed to settling for in their relationships)- but genuine accountability. But for this different kind of accountability to be possible, it’s essential that certain key elements work in conjunction with one another. It’s not at all complicated, and it’s not unreasonable to ask of a loving partner, but it does require an understanding of such elements and how they influence each other in order to make it occur.

Through this blog and our podcast, we’ll explain for you what this real accountability is, why it’s the most vital component in all successful, healthy, mutually gratifying relationships, help you identify immediately individuals who are accountable, and those who aren’t. And once you understand the specific principals of real accountability you can easily apply them to your own relationship as well as those you’re considering for a relationship! So if you endorse such notions as total relationship equality, honesty and transparency, truly fair negotiation, an easily observable level of emotional investment (and making sure you have a partner who does the same!), Explicit Nature may be exactly what you've been waiting for!
